MEMBERSHIP HOUSE RULES

Please read these house rules carefully and make sure that you understand them before applying for a Membership. You are only eligible for a Membership if you are aged 18 or over. By submitting an order you are promising to us that you are at least 18 years old. We may at any point ask for proof of your age.

1. Application of these House Rules

  • You may apply for a Membership for yourself or as a gift.

  • You must not share the Membership with anyone other than your year round Membership Partner (Double Memberships)

  • All Memberships are valid from the first day that PAUS reopens in summer 2021. Memberships purchased after this date will be valid for 1 year from date of purchase.

  • No refund of the Membership fee will be made unless you cancel in accordance with clause 2 below.

2. Cancellation rights

  • If you applied for your Membership, you may cancel the Membership at any time within 10 days from the date of purchase.
    This period is known as the cancellation period.

  • To cancel, you will need to contact us in writing by email and let us know of your decision to cancel within the cancellation period.

  • If you cancel in accordance with this clause 2 you will receive a full refund of any subscription fee you have paid for your Membership. If you visit PAUS during the cancellation period, you will be charged according to the number of visits and must also pay for any free tickets used. In this case the amount refunded will be reduced accordingly. Our standard non-member rates will apply in these circumstances.

  • Refunds will be paid back to the credit/ debit card used to purchase the Membership.

  • You must return your Membership card to us either via post or in person within 9 days of your written notice to cancel in order to receive the refund. If you are unable to do so, we will ask you to cut the card in half and provide photographic evidence that you have done so.

  • Any Membership Discount Codes will be deactivated upon the receipt of your written notice to cancel.

3. Payment of membership fees

  • We reserve the right to increase the Membership fee but this will not affect any order you have already placed and which we have accepted for the relevant Membership period before the increase took effect.

  • We make every effort to ensure that the correct prices are displayed on our website. However, if we realise services have been given the wrong price, we will correct this without delay.

4. Lost or stolen cards

  • You will need to contact us via email to report a lost or stolen Membership Card.

  • You will be able to collect a replacement card at PAUS on provision of a valid ID.

  • Your first replacement card will be free of charge. Any subsequent cards will be subject to £10 administration fee.

5. Your legal rights

As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to services that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau. Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect these legal rights.

6. Suspension and termination by PAUS.

  • We may suspend or terminate your Membership (at our discretion) if:

    • you fail to make any payment to us when due;

    • we suspect any fraud in any matter connected to your Membership;

    • we suspect any significant misuse of your Membership or Membership Card;

    • you breach any of our H&S and Spa Etiquette or you engage in any behaviour or activity that is disruptive to or damaging to PAUS or our guests

    • any other serious breach of these house rules which is either not capable of cure or which (if capable of cure) is not cured by you within a reasonable time period specified by PAUS

  • If we terminate your Membership under this clause 6, you will not receive any refund of the Membership fee.

  • On termination, we will deactivate your Membership Card and any Membership Discount Codes associated with your Membership.

7. Closures

PAUS, or some areas within PAUS, may be closed from time-to-time, including for necessary maintenance, refurbishment or due to private workshops and events.  We will limit the number of days that we are closed throughout the year and all closures will be communicated via our website or in email updates. If we are closed on a day you wish to visit, then we regret that you will be unable to make a booking in this scenario.

If an unexpected, long term closure occurs (over one month inclusive of all dates and areas) then we will be in touch with our Members if this has any bearing on Membership renewals and extensions.

Where private events run alongside public bathing sessions; please honour and respect the privacy of all private events occurring within PAUS and refrain from communicating any information about the event to third parties, in any medium.

Where all or part of PAUS is closed for essential maintenance, or where we need to withdraw facilities or services, because we consider that they may pose a risk, or that they are detrimental to the business, we will seek to ensure that any such area, facility or service is reinstated as soon as practical.

8. Your personal information

We will use the personal information you provide us in connection with your Membership, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Guests

As part of your Membership benefits, you receive three free guest tickets (six with Double Membership) to share with family or friends. You may use the tickets at any point during your Membership but please note that you will need to book in advance. We ask that all guests follow our H&S and Spa Etiquette.

10. Amendment of House Rules

  • We may change the house rules from time to time, by displaying notification of the change on www.paus.life. Please be aware that the house rules in your membership book may not be completely up to date and that the latest version of the house rules are displayed on www.paus.life
