The Bathing Space is for over 18s only, however, children over 12 will be allowed if accompanied by an adult. ​ Children are allowed in all other areas of PAUS. including The Meadows.

If you are using the bathing facilities, please bring fresh clean swimwear, flip flops, a bag for your wet swimwear, a sun hat and two towels (one for during your session, and one to dry yourself afterwards). Sarong towels and bathrobes are available to hire. For information on what to bring to a workshop, please see the relevant booking pages for details. Please avoid wearing metal jewellery and watches while using the bathing facilities. Metal can react to the water treatment in the hot tubs and get very hot in the sauna. What is more, small objects are easily lost. We advise you to keep valuable items at home or in the lockers provided. Do not wear heavy makeup, body lotions, or sun-protective creams in the hot tubs. We suggest the use of our sun umbrellas and bringing additional items to cover up whenever needed. PAUS. is an outdoor space. Please make sure to wear appropriate footwear as the paths may occasionally be damp. ​

We are open the vast majority of the year, in all seasons and all weathers. We have a brief annual maintenance month in February when we are closed to take care of the grounds. We also have a short closure over Christmas, however we welcome guests on New Year's Day, every year. Please note that when we are open, our operating days are Thursday - Sunday.

Only food and drinks purchased on site are allowed. The Hilltop Bistro serves a choice of delicious, freshly made food, nibbles, homemade cakes and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks.

The hot tubs and saunas are exposed to the elements but the showers/changing rooms are all indoor. There is also indoor cafe area and ample outdoor space with deckchairs to lounge on.

We operate in any weather (with the only exception being we cannot have people in hot tubs if there is lightning/thunder*). The hot tubs are exposed and there are no shelters. The experience is actually rather nice in the rain, much better than in baking hot sun. In fact, the worse the weather, the better the experience. During bathing sessions, the only weather we need to be mindful of is lightning. However, rest assured, we take every precaution to keep you safe. We monitor thunder & lightning activity through three different apps, and if any is detected within 10 miles of PAUS, we’ll ask all guests to temporarily retreat to the saunas or Hilltop Bistro, until the storm passes, typically within 10-15 minutes.

Well behaved dogs are allowed and welcomed at PAUS. There are great walks around PAUS. and we welcome dog walkers in need of a break and refreshments at the Hilltop Bistro.

Parking at PAUS. is free of charge. However, we do recommend you car share or use public transport where you can to reduce carbon emissions. Spaces are reserved for visitors to PAUS. Vehicles and contents are left at the owner's risk. Please do not attempt to drive beyond the designated gravel car park.

PAUS. or some areas within PAUS. may be closed from time to time, including for necessary maintenance, refurbishment, or due to private workshops and events. We will limit the number of days that we are closed throughout the year and all closures will be communicated via our website or in email updates. If we are closed on a day you wish to visit, then we regret that you will be unable to make a booking in this scenario. ​ If an unexpected, long-term closure occurs (over one month inclusive of all dates and areas) then we will be in touch with all ticket holders if this has any bearing on your visit. ​ Where private events run alongside public bathing sessions; please honour and respect the privacy of all private events occurring within PAUS. and refrain from communicating any information about the event to third parties, in any medium. ​ Where all or part of PAUS. is closed for essential maintenance, or where we need to withdraw facilities or services, because we consider that they may pose a risk, or that they are detrimental to the business, we will seek to ensure that any such area, facility or service is reinstated as soon as practical. ​
