The Meadows is an ongoing project to re-wild 13 acres of sterile golfing grass and turn it into a unique outdoor wellbeing space for visitors to enjoy all year round. 

We aim to keep footprints to a minimum for the pleasure of all visitors and natural wildlife. Advance booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. There is a small land impact fee of £5 per person which goes towards the upkeep of the meadows and our re-wilding initiatives.

The Sensory barefoot trail spans 1000 metres of pathways created using locally sourced; environmentally friendly; natural; recycled and reused materials that 
would otherwise end in landfill. The trail will be created by local volunteers. Sign up here to get involved.

Walking barefoot, also known as “earthing”, has gone from being a playful trend to a scientifically-researched practice with a number of remarkable health advantages for both mind and body. These benefits include: increasing antioxidants, reducing inflammations, decreasing stress or anxiety, and improving sleep.

We encourage visitors to take advantage of this new area of tranquility and rest for a while with a favourite book, a beloved podcast, or enjoy as a quiet spot to chill with a friend.

Just half hour's relaxation in a hammock each day can dramatically reduce your stress levels leaving you calm and focused. Hammocks have been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of a variety of stress and sleep related disorders for people of all ages. The gentle, calming rocking motion of a hammock and the feeling of weightlessness can be a very effective type of relaxation therapy and is becoming widely used by therapists and relaxation centres.
