The Meadows is an ongoing project to re-wild 13 acres of sterile golfing grass and turn it into a unique outdoor wellbeing space for visitors to enjoy all year round. 

We aim to keep footprints to a minimum for the pleasure of all visitors and natural wildlife. Advance booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. There is a small land impact fee of £5 per person which goes towards the upkeep of the meadows and our re-wilding initiatives. 


Our Barefoot Sensory Trail spans 1000 metres of pathways of finely cut grass and various sections using locally sourced; environmentally friendly; natural; recycled and reused materials that would otherwise end in landfill. 

Walking barefoot, also known as “earthing”, has gone from being a playful trend to a scientifically-researched practice with a number of remarkable health advantages for both mind and body. These benefits include: increasing antioxidants, reducing inflammation, decreasing stress or anxiety, and improving sleep.

Nestled among mature trees with views over a wild pond, the Waterside Sauna is available to book privately to groups of up to 6 bathers. 

Saunas have been traditionally used to produce a feeling of relaxation. As your heart rate goes up and your blood vessels dilate, there is an increase in blood flow to the skin. Your body’s reaction to the heat can make you less perceptive to pain, more alert, and give you a feeling of elation. The heat relaxes your muscles, including those in your face and neck. These muscles are often tense after long day. This relaxation effect is one of the biggest benefits to using a sauna.


We encourage visitors to take advantage of this new area of tranquility and rest for a while with a favourite book, a beloved podcast, or enjoy as a quiet spot to chill with a friend.

Just half hour's relaxation in a hammock each day can dramatically reduce your stress levels leaving you calm and focused. Hammocks have been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of a variety of stress and sleep related disorders for people of all ages. The gentle, calming rocking motion of a hammock and the feeling of weightlessness can be a very effective type of relaxation therapy and is becoming widely used by therapists and relaxation centres.
