An away day at PAUS is designed for team bonding, relaxation, and building camaraderie. Your team will have space to play, relax, and breathe together in our natural environment.

Whether it’s working with soil in our garden or feeling the ground beneath their feet in the meadows, your team will enjoy mindful activities that foster calm, clarity, and a reawakened appreciation for nature. Your team will leave feeling refreshed and equipped with practical wellbeing practices that enhance everyday life, whether at home or in the workplace.

Sample Schedule
Start your day with three lighthearted wellbeing activities in our garden, studio, and meadows. You have the option to choose from nine workshops (more details below), which encourage colleagues to open their minds and collaborate. Then, enjoy relaxed social time sharing delicious food over lunch, followed by optional relaxation in our Hilltop Bathing area

ACTIVITIES
In the Garden
You’ll pick one of the options below:
Kitchen garden potting | 45mins
Team members plant their own edible mini garden in a terracotta pot using organically grown herbs and greens from our greenhouse.
Available year-round
Grow your own company garden bed | 2hrs
Create and plant a team allotment bed using the “no-dig” gardening method. All are welcome to return and tend to their vegetables over time.
March – September
Tree planting | 45mins
Learn the basics of tree care, then plant saplings together to create a living legacy alley that your team can return to year after year.
January – April

In the Studio
You’ll pick one of the options below:
Yoga nidra (yogic sleep) | 45mins
A deeply restful, guided meditation that brings the body into relaxation while the mind floats between waking and sleeping. A session can be as restorative as 2-3 hours of deep sleep.
Uplifting & relaxing breathwork | 45mins
A blend of uplifting breathwork to energise and calming practices that ground and soothe. Simple techniques your team can use daily.
Partner yoga | 45mins
A light-hearted and playful session focused on trust and connection. Through supported movements, colleagues build presence and deeper team bonds.

Around the Meadows
You’ll pick one of the options below:
Sensory barefoot trail | 45mins
This guided barefoot walk takes you through the meadows, exploring natural textures like stone, mud, and pinecones. Grounding and fun, it stimulates over 7,000 nerve endings in the feet!
The PAUS scavenger hunt | 45mins
In this reimagined treasure hunt, teams follow clues, explore the grounds, and think creatively to reach checkpoints. It’s playful and brings out everyone’s problem-solving spark.
PAUS sports day | 45mins
Nostalgic, old-school games bring out laughter, light-hearted competition, and a strong sense of team spirit and bonding.

Sharing Food
Our Hilltop Bistro offers a relaxed and informal setting with stunning views over the countryside.
Our menu has been created with our passion for nutritious, wholesome food. Enjoy a three-course lunch including shared starters, a main meal, and shared platters of our delicious cakes…all handcrafted by our talented chefs, using produce grown from our garden and from local restorative farmers.
RELAX TOGETHER
Hilltop Bathing
Your team will have the option to finish the day relaxing in our Scandinavian-inspired bathing area. This includes access to all our Hilltop Bathing facilities, including woodfired hot tubs, Finnish-style saunas, and energising cold plunge pools.
Our team has been crafting and operating our red cedar wood-fired hot tubs and saunas for over 15 years at corporate events and for the general public. We have become known for our professionalism, quality service, and exceptional hygiene standards.
Health Benefits
Our customers come to our Hilltop in need of relaxation, and they leave feeling peaceful and glowing. It's more than just a great feeling; there is also science-backed physical renewal that comes from immersive bathing experiences.
Hot Water & Sauna:
Boosts mood and releases endorphins, aids sleep, relieves muscle pain, helps circulation, reduces blood pressure, helps release toxins and impurities, and supports lymphatic drainage.
Cold Water Bathing:
Increases alertness, increases mental resilience, improves blood circulation, reduces inflammation, and releases endorphins
Contrasting:
Cycling through exposure to hot and cold temperature changes. This is an exercise for your blood vessels; in heat, they relax, and in cold, they contract, pumping blood, lymph, and endorphins around your body.
