Mingle & Jingle: The Joy of Singing Together

Our "Mingle events" are opportunities for our community to share something simple yet powerful - time together. Mingle & Jingle is the Christmas edition of our beloved quarterly sing along event, Mingle & Sing. Now in its third year (and stronger than ever!), this heart-warming festive event spreads so much joy - and, of course, a healthy amount of percussion shaking.

As soon as the evening began, our Hilltop snug came alive with festivity and spirit. Voices rose, laughter filled the room, and following the annual welcome from Team PAUS, the evening unfolded with vibrant performances and our sing-along carols. When the first notes of Jingle Bells rang out, accompanied by tambourines and hand-held bells, we were instantly reminded of the moving presence of many voices becoming one.

Our Performers

As always, the event was made especially memorable by a lineup of local performers, each bringing their own festive magic.

Lively Aimee Hill opened the night and serenaded us with light-hearted songs on her ukulele, setting the tone of warmth and ease. Our devoted “Sofettes” delighted everyone with their performances of Let It Snow and other playful tunes, while the ladies of the Linton Belles Choir filled the snug with their stunning harmonies.

And, of course, no PAUS singing event would be complete without our very own Adam - the best singing, guitar-playing gardener in the country - who led the carols with his signature charm. He was joined by the wonderful and talented Phil and Emma, who married at PAUS earlier this year.

Singing for a Good Cause

Following the carols, the evening was rounded off with our Christmas raffle. Thanks to the generosity of our community and suppliers, the prizes were brilliant and eclectic - from hot air balloon rides in the Czech Republic, to magnums of Rathfinny sparkling wine - and obviously, there were also some very special PAUS Hilltop bathing passes on offer too...

The donations from the crowd raised £322 for Pomoc Psíkom Východ - an underfunded dog shelter on the Slovak–Ukrainian border. This cause is especially close to our hearts, as it’s where our beloved Chief Stress-Reliever, Ronko, comes from.

A Reminder of What Matters

Mingle & Jingle is more than an evening of festive songs, its a celebration. For a few winter hours, our Hilltop snug became a place where community, music, and kindness met — and that’s a feeling we’ll happily carry with us into the year ahead.
